Great guide through science fiction

I'm really grateful for David Barr Kirtley for running this show. For me it is one of the key guides what to watch and read or not, where it comes to science fiction.

"Interesting Question"

This show is geekery in the best sense of the world: it's about curiosity, passion, and thinking things through.
"That's an interesting question" is a recurring refrain among the interviewees on Geek's Guide. And it's true: host David Barr Kirtley is consistently well-prepared and genuinely interested in the answers to his well-thought out questions. Which in turn is easy when the guests are so consistently interesting people.
The roundtable episodes deserve a lot of love too: they are hilarious, insightful, and brimming with enthusiasm.
* whispers it * there's women on this show! Like, on the roundtables and among the interviewees. The producers recognise it's something the genre traditionally has some work to do, and they are quietly doing their share to change that. Without fanfare, just... doing the work. I appreciate that immensely. So yeah. Five stars. I'd give you six, but that's how many there are.

Best podcast in my list

Geek's Guide to the Galaxy is by far the podcast I listen to the most. Not only does it serve to my Geek-needs but it is also of the highest quality of the podcasts i listen to at the moment. And i listen to a lot of podcasts.
You feel in every episode that David Barr Kirtley is often times a big fan himself and prepares well for the interview yet the podcast never feels rigid or to prefixed. David does something you see less and less often in modern interviews and that is that he gives the interviewee room to actually tell their story.
In my 1,5 hour commute to work Geeks Guide brings me into the right mindset. Always wanting to know more and keep exploring.
I look for more podcasts like Geeks Guide but do not find it very often. Keep up the good work!
