A large portion of the emails I get from you revolve around issues stemming from c-sections. Some moms want to have a VBAC, but they can't find a practitioner or hospital who will support their choice. Others have been scared into thinking cesarean sections are safer than vaginal births. No matter what the issue, the fact that a third of births in the United States happen in the OR is a big problem and it leads to the issues that cause mamas to need me or someone else to help them have the care options they deserve. It's a huge problem and one that is nearly impossible for any one person to solve. But does that mean we have to sit helplessly by without any say in our care? Of course not! This episode starts the look at c-sections so that you can be well prepared to face the challenge of avoiding one that isn't necessary when you give birth

Hey! I’m Lori Morris, a certified nurse-midwife and a mama of three babies born on my terms in the water outside of the hospital. I’ve got over 20 years of experience in this broken medicalized world of childbirth. I’ve attended hundreds of births as a nurse and later as a certified nurse-midwife in the hospital, in birth centers, and (my own) at home. I know how all sides of maternity care work and I am here to help Christian moms navigate this road with calm and clarity.
