For the inaugural episode of Approachable Music, Kiefer interviews Los Angeles-based composer, producer, multi-instrumentalist, and bass virtuoso Sam Wilkes. Sam makes fluid, meditative jazz filled with ambient and even psychedelic textures, recording for labels such as Leaving Records. A frequent collaborator of Sam Gendel, Louis Cole, and Jacob Mann, Sam made his solo debut with the 2018 full-length entitled Wilkes.
