How to turn 'hij' into '-ie' (heeft-ie een nieuwe fiets?) and when to use 'him' for objects. In this episode I teach you how to pronounce 'hij' as a REAL Dutchie. Because the textbook teaches you one thing, but when going into the wild you might encounter some really different sounds. 'Mumble your way into Dutch' is my motto and that is what we encounter here also. Het becomes an 'uht' sound and by learning this difference it can become a little less overwhelming when trying to understand Dutch people. I hope this one helps!
