In this episode we talk with cyclist Anders Johnson about:
Transitioning from mountain bike to trackHow physics plays into racing and nutritionHow proper fueling and sleep aids in recoveryOur next guest, cyclist Anders Johnson, grew up in the mountains of Northern Utah and currently lives in San Luis Obispo (SLO), California. He fell in love with SLO while attending Cal Poly where he earned a Bachelors of Science in Physics, and a minor in mathematics. Growing up, he played many sports, but mountain biking quickly became his primary passion, leading him to compete internationally as a junior and beyond. In 2022, he discovered track cycling and dove headfirst into the sport, qualifying for his first World Championships just months after he started. Since then, he’s competed on three World Championship teams, earned 8 elite national track titles, and secured 4 Pan American track titles.
Outside of his own racing, he also coaches cyclists of all ages and abilities. When he’s not  thinking about bikes, he works as a Project Manager at Stanford School of Medicine, where he contributes to various projects focused on population health and elite athletes.

Nutritional Revolution (NR) was created when owner Kyla Channell saw that there was a true disconnect between daily nutrition and nutrition for athletes. Specifically on when and how to use specific fueling methods to achieve optimal performance as well as health in their sport. NR believes that any one person no matter their age, weight, or current struggle can make healthy changes to improve their well being and get closer to their goals through education, motivation, support, encouragement, and the right guidance. In this podcast, we go beyond food & nutrition; we also explore the best practices for better living.
