Soothing, Fun, Smart and Sassy

As a person who loves history and a good tale, I can only highly recommend this podcast. Many of the tales are new to me, but even having read and listened to many stories and histories of a number of the nobles featured in Ms. Schwartz’ excellently produced and researched podcast, I find every episode to be revealing, entertaining and enlightening. Not only does the podcast find ways to shed light on familiar tales such those of the wives of Henry VIII of England, it does so by narrating the subjects inner monologue in a way that makes the listener feel like they are being taken into the subjects confidence, made a member of their inner circle for the duration of the episode.
I despise judging podcast hosts, especially female ones, for their voices, for many reasons I will not go into here. But I do find it relevant here to say that Ms. Schwartz’ has a timbre, rhythm and quality to her voice that make every episode not only enticing and compelling, but exciting and soothing all at the same time.
Hear ye, hear ye, listen up, and spread the word. ❤️
