For fans of true crime like the loyal and dedicated listeners of Mens Rea, we want to recommend a new Irish series that I think you’ll really appreciate.
It’s called Lines of Enquiry, a brand new GoLoud Original hosted by former Garda forensic detective John Sweetman.
Across eight episodes, John draws on his decades of experience inside the Garda Technical Bureau to explore some of Ireland’s most fascinating investigations from murders to mysterious disappearances.
He brings a rare perspective to the genre, showing how forensic science and detailed investigative work uncover the truth.
Lines of Enquiry is available now on the GoLoud app and wherever you get your podcasts. New episodes every Tuesday.

A great listen

Intelligent, compassionate and wry. The stories are well-researched, distinctly Irish but enough explanation for the rest of us. The narrator's understanding of the law also makes for an interesting listen.
I find myself looking forward to every episode.

Great stories- but told too fast

Such a great story- but I couldn’t listen to it for more than 5 minutes.
The story is being told way too fast to follow and comprehend all the information shared.
Half the speed would give a much better experience for the listener.

Well researched and chilling

With her impeccable research, Sinead takes us through the entirety of each of these chilling cases from the murders themselves to the investigations and trials. It’s chilling and gripping and a must for any true crime fans.
