Weird that I only discovered this a few weeks ago. This podcast is amazing! Really takes you back to the days of reading the books. And suddenly realising that Quidditch is really weird. Awesome!
Join Mike Schubert, a grown man reading the Harry Potter series for the first time, as he sits down with HP fanatics to poke fun at plot holes, make painfully incorrect predictions, and bask in the sassiness of the characters. Schubes and his guests cover a portion of the Harry Potter franchise each week, taking you on a journey through your childhood, this time with the rose-tinted glasses off.
This podcast is so easy to listen too when ur cleaning ur room.
This podcast is so comforting but weird. Listening to it for the first time was the best and I still get that same feeling every time I listen to it. P.s.: Wolfstar is the best ship
I started listening to this podcast when I was 13 and it helped me through puberty and all the troubles of it.
Nothing to say else bc it is just PERFECT
Super goed, en makkelijke te begrijpen als van een ander land bent.
I loveee it❤️
I never listen to podcasts but this one is just so funny and easy to listen too!! 10/10 would recommend
Everyone who calls himself a Harry Potter fan should listen to this.
If you’re a potter head and enjoy talking about Harry Potter/ strange tangents, this is the podcast for you. There’s not an uninteresting minute with Mike, I strongly recommend it!
Its just very fun to listen to
A real fun thing to listen along to reading the books. Simply amazing and so fun
Love this sassy take on the wizarding world!
This is THE BEST Harry Potter podcast you can ever find! I can’t do less than give it 5 stars.
I really like this podcast, found it about a month ago. Great filler with Corona going on. But Shubes, I gotta say: out of all the small things you get wrong in your podcasts, it's my duty to tell you as a Mexican that "burritos" ARE. NOT. MEXICAN. They're "tex-mex" at most, aka what americans think mexican food is. Love the pod though.
I tried this, and at first it was funny.
But after a while, Mike was laughing about his own jokes and other things that weren’t funny, in about every sentence.
This is so awesome. I listen to it on Spotify but i just came to itunes so i can five it 5 stars because it is SO AWESOME !!!!!
A great opportunity to stay in touch with the Harry Potter world! I’ve never listened to a podcast, but this podcast got me hooked. Mike is very funny, a lot of laughing out loud moments!
I love it. It is the best podcast I have ever listened to
If you’re still sad about finishing All the Harry Potter books this is a great podcast to listen to.
This is the best podcast ever!!!!!
the funniest host and co-hosts every single episode. the host is so funny and snarky i love it!
Its so awesome and i highly suggest it to everyone to listen to it is funny and very educational (in the area of books).
Definitely highly recommended.
I’ve been listening to this podcast on my commute to university and I can’t keep myself from laughing out loud sometimes. It’s fun to have other guests each episode, it makes the show very dynamic. It’s a very fun way to relive the books in a whole new way, especially for someone who has read the series eight… nine (?) times. I will say that it gets better with each book, because the balance between retelling the story, own commentary, predictions, fun facts and random off-topic stuff gets better. Currently in the middle of book 5 but couldn’t wait to leave a review. Already recommended this podcast to a friend of mine after two episodes, though. Would recommend to anyone who likes (or even dislikes really) the Harry Potter series.
My birthday is also August 25th😂 but I actually did not know that was when the world cup game was so that’s a nice new fun fact I guess (love the podcast btw its actually the first podcast ever I listen to and it was a good choice❤️)
This podcast is my favorite the jokes and snarky comment are hilarious. All the guests are amazing. It is always so fun to listen to this podcast. Highly recommend!!
This is the first podcast I have listened to. I’m just at episode 20 but I already love it so freaking much. I don’t think I’m going to survive when I finished al of the episodes.
Thank you Mike for making my life better everyday with this beautiful awesome podcast.
This podcast is golden, a must listen for anyone interested in Harry Potter. The way Mike discusses the books from an adult perspective is absolutely hilarious and informative at the same time.
Also Mike’s approach is admirable. No podcast trying to sell stuff and make money, but really a group effort that makes it inviting for everyone to be a part of it.
I wish I could give it 0 out of 5.
I enjoy the podcast very much, but the overuse of the word “like” really annoys me.. I’m Dutch and I’m not a native English speaker, so that could be why this annoys me. Maybe this is just the way young people in the US speak nowadays. The content of the podcast is really good, but the use of the word “like” in literally every sentence, makes it sound... a bit dumb? Otherwise a very enjoyable podcast and I recommend it to anyone who has read and liked the Harry Potter books.
This is the first podcast I have ever listened to and I absolutely love it!
It is so amazing. I love it.
Like seriously, BEST. PODCAST. EVER.
Love the podcast, and definitely cannot wait for a Lord of the Rings version!
...fun stuff to pick on. How many episodes are we going to have to listen to the put-outer rant. It might be interesting to start counting! If you are going to diss on stuff, at least be original and a little less repetitive. It finally put me off the podcast.
I love this podcast sooo much! I have a 45 min commute and this makes me look forward to it! Just try!
This is awesome
Super funny!, great listen
This podcast is so good. I can’t stop listening to it. Certainly because I’m a very big fan of Harry Potter, I know everything he talks about and I recognise the feelings he gets while reading. Great sense of humor too. 😍🙃💜
Like to listen while driving instead of listening music
I am such a big fan of Potterless. I have read the Harry Potter books over and over again, and I’m surely not the only one who’s overwhelmed with nostalgia every time they start reading the series again. It’s the same nostalgia that makes you forgive the wrongs in the Wizarding World and kind of makes you stick to the same view you had when you were eleven. But, eloquent host Mike Schubert has the most humorous ways of making you realise that Quidditch actually is a very flawed sport and should be grateful it’s called a sport.
So even if you only vaguely like Harry Potter, would love to relive finding out about all the plot twists but from another perspective and laugh at plot holes and Mike’s amazingly wrong predictions, I’d say press play and wizard on!
Love it very good podcast
It’s so much fun to revisit the Potter series with Mike Schubert, who is an amazing and very sharp host. He also has the best guest stars.
Must say, Mike gets kinda negative, whereas the guest have to slow him down in his negativity - though, the negativity also gives a beautiful twist to the idea I have of the books. Eventhough, I love the way he really picks up the content and digs all the way through it.
(At the end of book 5)
At first I loved this podcast!! But now I am kond of Sad that the host keeps making fun of the books... I would like it if he would sometimes just enjoy reading them!
Made the HUGE mistake of listening to this whole thing in a matter of days, it’s a treasure that should be savoured a lot more than that. This podcast is as close as a Potterhead can get to the magic of reading the books for the first time, plus you get amazing hosts, witty humor, and Mike’s outlandish predictions along the way! Would recommend to anyone who is even vaguely interested in Harry Potter.
