Why Did Israel Agree?

Why Did Israel Agree?

Tijd: 1:10:05
We try to make sense out of Israel's participation in the ceasefire that began today—and which Hezbollah may already have violated. Did Israel actually want this because it needed time to recover its strength? Or did it have to agree because it needed weapons from the United States that were being withheld? Oh, and what on earth was with that weird Kamala Harris video in which she appeared to be, shall we say, not entirely sober? Give a listen.

Spyfall

And the point was?
This is a typical example of the Commentary podcast. Three friends who agree on most everything having a meandering conversation without new points or insights. Happy together complaining about everybody else in a self-congratulatory way. The subject today was a confusing reconstruction of the timeline of the Russia probe with many asides about how right they are about anything under the sun. Intellectually undisciplined and full of straw man arguments. Conservative and so partisan that you know in advance where they end up. They are no trump friends but they always end up on his side anyway. John talks about his democratic friends as trump talks about Mexicans, ‘and some are good people’.
John Podhoretz is the heart and soul of this podcast, he is lively and talkative and a bit litigious which gives energy to the conversation.
