I am using Alfred Camera on 2 iPads at home and my iPhone for over a year now. I am still not upgrading because of too many issues: often no event recordings at all, several connection errors, wrong error messages, etc.
I followed all Q&A instructions to no avail. The app is still too unstable to be really useful as a security solution.
But I am very positive about the quick responses of the help desk! I really hope that the issues will be fixed soon.

After several attempts I give up. Alfred keeps losing connection despite all the tips. Both phones set to Guided Access, automatic screen lock turned off, both phones on the charger and even created a personal hotspot for it. Normally I also work with my laptop via this hotspot: without having any connection problems. It just doesn't work. Tried combination iPhone 5s on iOS 12 as Camera and iPhone SE 2020 on iOS 14 as Viewer.

Ik gebruik de gratis versie aangezien de abonnementen veel te duur zijn voor wat het biedt. De bewegingsdetectie is onbruikbaar aangezien de hoge gevoeligheid het minste of geringste aan beweging detecteert, maar de medium setting al vrijwel niets meer. Ook zou het handig zijn om notificaties kan krijgen bij geluid. Het geluid is zowiso soms erg flakey, soms heb ik geluid, soms niet. Een optie om de focus van de camera uit te zetten zou ook handig zijn. Al met al een bruikbare app, aar nog wel wat aan verbeterd kan worden.
Leuke app, beweging waardeloos.

Het is een leuke, op zich goedwerkende, app. Beweging voldoet in mijn geval totaal niet. Staat de beweging op hoog ingesteld dan merkt ie een wapperend boomblaadje of takje nog op als beweging. Stel je 1 stand minder gevoelig, medium, in dan meld ie nog niet eens lopende personen vlak voor de camera. Alleen een auto geeft ie door wanneer deze vlak langs de camera rijd.
Het betreft de gratis app. De betaalde is gewoon te duur, dan kan je beter een goede camera met geheugenkaart kopen. Op jaarbasis veel goedkoper.
Ik kijk het nog even aan, verandert de bewegingsdetectie niet dan zal ik de app verwijderen.
Verder prima app voor diegene die de bewegingsdetectie niet nodig heeft.

I used for a while and then got the error 7007 connection problems... while holding in my hand and walking around the house it works for a while, after installing it on a secure place (either any place in the house) it stops working after a few seconds. Using an old (but fully updated) iphone 6s and have no other apps on the phone but Alfred. After going through all the faqs forums and what not, i gave up.. it not worth the money!! Better buy a real security cam and forget about Alfred.. For me its not a proper security solution!!

De app werkt, maar er valt nog veel aan te verbeteren. De bediening lijkt aanvankelijk simpel en overzichtelijk vanwege de simpele iconen maar zit niet logisch in elkaar. De snapshot-knop in de web-interface werkt niet (Chrome en Firefox getest, Safari werkt overigens alleen met de nieuwste versie) of ik kan in ieder geval nergens de snapshot terugvinden. Waarom staan ze niet gewoon bij de video’s? Ook in het zeer rommelige online forum en FAQ is dit niet te vinden. Onbegrijpelijk voor een app die claimt 15 miljoen gezinnen als klant te hebben.
Ik heb een iPhone 5 en een Galaxy S7 gekoppeld als camera. Van de S7 kan ik vandaag ineens geen video’s meer terugkijken, ook geen oudere. Ze staan er nog wel maar blijven zwart. Dit werkte eerst wel. Een van de knoppen heet ‘camera uitzetten’ terwijl aanzetten bedoeld wordt..
De S7 hangt binnenshuis en wordt wel 20 graden warmer dan de omgeving, dus 43 graden als het 23°C is. Dit lijkt me niet gezond voor de accu c.q. niet ideaal qua levensduur van de telefoon en brandveiligheid.
Je kunt zeer weinig instellen dus je hebt ook geen controle over framerate. Dit zou de warmteontwikkeling kunnen dempen.
Resolutie in de webviewer kun je kiezen maar er staan geen pixels bij..
‘Weinig licht filter’ is een goede optie maar als hij op de automatische stand na zonsondergang inschakelt, triggert dit ook een motion detection alert / video terwijl er niets gebeurt. Ook een paar regendruppels veroorzaken al gauw een opnieuw scherpstellen (veel te dichtbij) en een motion detection alert / bewegingsalarm. Kortom dit is niet heel intelligent.
Aangezien deze app al jaren bestaat en miljoenen klanten heeft, had ik meer verwacht.

Geweldige app. Eerst een tijdje de gratis versie geprobeerd. Die bevalt erg goed. Zelfs met oude iPhones als camera heb je goede beeldkwaliteit. De camera, zaklamp en microfoon kun je op afstand bedienen. Handig als je ‘het gefilmde’ een teken van leven wilt geven. We gaan nu over op de betaalde versie, omdat we onbeperkt willen kunnen detecteren hoe onze pup het bij onze afwezigheid doet in zijn bench.
