Many times the app don't record if you don't open it every x minutes. Today I walked all day in a new city and only when I checked in hotel it started to record. This happened to me many times since update! The setting in app and iPhone are like they should be.
Edit: same problem after 2 years and 2 iPhones further!

Nice app but it stopped working since the last update, please repair.
This is not the normal “fog of world stopped recording”, the app just doesn’t open anymore, I get the blue startup screen for approximately 20 seconds and than returns to iOS.
This even happens when all other apps are closed and the iPad is turned off and on again.

I’ve been using this app for a long time. The newer look and app are fantastic. Nice to track all of your trips. You can even import tracks, that are recorded by i.e. GPS. Using this app on multiple devices is not difficult, but syncing between devices is very slow. Especially syncing with iCloud Drive. Takes lots of hours.
Hopefully this will be fixed in the upcoming updates. And export your tracks (for backup)will be nice too. If these problems are solved and the export option is integrated, than this app is definitely a 5 star app.

Fog of World 2 has been a long time coming, but it was well worth the wait. The app keeps track of where you have been and uses an RTS-like interface to do so. Exploring the world has now become an addiction fo me, so I’ll have to cut this review short... New adventures await!

Does what it claims to do. I think it's pretty nifty to see where you've been. There are several reasons why I don't use it for real-time tracking:
1. There's no ability to export GPX.
2. At least previous version was not power-efficient (and from some comments here I get the impression this version is the same).
3. Previous version had the habit of randomly crashing, so I lost trust in it to reliably log trips.
I use Track for the real-time tracking and then import in Fog of World via Dropbox. That way I have GPX's of my individual trips but also keep track of "where have I been at least once" in Fog of World. That combination makes it a reliable and fun app for me.

Gebruikt de app al jaren, en had daardoor een behoorlijk veel sporen getrokken in de mist.
Vorig jaar raakte ik ineens een deel kwijt. Gong van level 102 naar 78, en nu elke paar maanden verdwijnt er weer een aantal kilometers. Het is jammer dat ik nu overal stukken uit mijn reizen mist.
Erg jammer.

De app op zich blijkt nog te werken.

Geen antwoord op contact vraag.
Jammer dat eerder bezochte landen/plaatsen niet achteraf ingevoerd kunnen worden en de batterij vliegt leeg bij gebruik.

Sometimes it keeps tracking gps when the app is not active this can drain my battery which is very anoying.
You cant select the gps only when the app is used its always allowed or never allowed. This is a shame for this otherwise cool app.

I have been using this app for almost a year now. and loved every second of using it. Only it's time for some updates. When going through tunnels the gps signal goes away. It would be appreciated if those parts would be uncovered to. And I resetted my phone. But no possible way to import my files through dropbox even though I always backed my stuff on dropbox. Quite dissappointed now.

Best tracking app available. I recommend it to all my friends. Awesome way to see where you've been in the world. Shame it crashes more often once you've discovered more of the world. Would've been 5 stars if it didn't crash this much.

Op zich grappig om te hebben; je "ontdekte wereld" in kaart te brengen. Geeft bij mij perfect weer waar ik ben & was, toevoegen van oude reizen nog niet geprobeerd. Vreet echt veel stroom, dus op de lader in de auto is het prima. Maar het stroomverbruik is net te hoog, de mist wordt niet "true sight" weggehaald, dus 3 sterren.

Leuke app, echt waar.
Jammer dat je geen oude locaties kan invullen, logisch want je weet niet meer precies welke straat je bent geweest, maar oke.
Verder het grootste minpunt, maar het kan niet anders, je batterij. Heb mijn telefoon vandaag nauwelijks gebruikt. Zit nu op 35%, na 6 uur uit de oplader. Hier kan niks aan veranderd worden. Helaas.
Maar zorgt er wel voor dat ik deze app niet meer ga gebuiken. Zou er dus geen geld voor uitgeven maar met App van de Dag was het iets leuks :)
