Obviously in order to save money, Bon appetit as decided to change all the conveniences of their digital issue. No longer a direct link to go to a recipe. I can live with that but not being able to enlarge text by spreading thumb and index finger is just VERY cheap and annoying. The print size of some recipes is so small and in a color that you’re just unable to read it.

Wow. “Fresh look and feel” is a real clever way to describe removing all features from an app that used to be an incredible reading experience. I can’t even say how heartbroken I am. Its now just flat images from the magazine which you can’t even read on an iPad mini because the text is too small and there’s no zoom! And the page isn’t the same size of the screen so there are black edges.
As a designer and food lover I am just embarrassed for Bon Appétit. Obviously someone cut the budget for a project that used to be very loved. I will probably cancel my subscription which I only used for the iPad app.
