Jammer, ben ViewRanger gewend en onderweg altijd accuraat en beschikbaar. Gisteren een wandeling gemaakt mbv een zelf uitgezette route. Opstarten vd route prima, afwijking vd route wordt ook goed weergegeven. Maar onverwacht sluit de app. Soms kans dat de gestarte route/track bij opnieuw opstarten vd app hervat wordt, kans dat de route/track opnieuw begint is groter. Helaas na het maken van een foto sluit de app. Moeilijk track modus terug te vinden na sluiten app.

Cluttery app that comes no where near ViewRanger’s functionality, accuracy and reliability. Free version can’t actually be used for proper hiking, whereas ViewRanger was. Real shame to see ViewRanger disappear for commercial benefit.

Duur….wel als je een abonnement voor een jaar moet afsluiten en daarom geen kaarten los kunt kopen.
Viewranger was wat dat betreft een stuk vriendelijker. Heb jaren lang viewranger gebruikt maar ga nu maar eens wat anders zoeken.
Had het helaas anders gezien.

Diverse apps geprobeerd maar dit is echt de beste. Route tracker gaat heel makkelijk en het zelf uitzetten van een route ook. Ben wel pro lid geworden. Je hebt dan geen netwerk nodig en betere kaarten etc

Het gebruikers interface dwingt tot allerlei stappen en is ondoorzichtig. Omdat er geen context wordt weer gegeven weet je niet in welke dialoog je bent. Een bestaande rondwandeling maken op basis van een voorgeven route werkt alleen als je op het officiële beginpunt start. Ergens onderweg in de route starten leidt ertoe dat de route verloren gaat, waardoor je midden in de wandeling zonder geleiding staat. Erg teleurstellend voor zo'n dure app.
De routegeleiding stem geeft soms verkeerde instructies en zwijgt vaak als er van richting moet worden veranderd. Dit lijkt onvoldoende getest.
Kortom, deze app is niet rijp en onbetrouwbaar. Men heeft het verdienmodel en de marketing beter op orde dan de software ontwikkeling.

Ben Outdooractive en Komoot aan het testen.
Outdooractive heeft alles wat een goede wandelapp en site nodig hebben. Vooral het kaartje op de Apple watch is handig. Maar ook de vele beschikbare routes.
Twee punten welke ik niet prettig vind zijn:
1. De app is niet in het Nederlands. Dit is erg onhandig bij het gebruik van de spraak navigatie. Nederlandse straatnamen zijn bijna niet te verstaan.
2. Komoot heeft de spraak navigatie beter op orde. Duidelijke instructies in het Nederlandse welke ook vaker op tijd gemeld worden. Bij Outdooractive is mijn ervaring dat die wel eens te laat zijn. De navigatie lijkt dan iets minder nauwkeurig.
Als outdooractive in het Nederlands zou zijn, zou deze mijn voorkeur hebben. Nu toch Komoot vanwege de spraakbesturing.

I purchased the old version a few years ago, and that worked great. Based on my current (GPS) location I could search for any of the activities I prefer (via ferrata). When I input my preference in the new app, nothing is found. Just paid for the subscription, so I feel disappointed. Will use the old app for now.

First of the app looks a lot better and seems faster and smoother.
However, I just tried planning a route and I get a different route than with the old app. A route that is 2.5km further(10 vs 7.5). Perhaps it is because I have not take premium as of yet. If this is the case the app is useless without premium.
The feature I am still missing is changing the time calculation for the route as the current is no good (never has been).
Lastly 30 euros a year is steep, especially as I expect to use the app no more than two periods a year; planning and hiking. Sometimes a lower price can give substantially more volume improving overall revenues.
Lastly I would advice you to make a usable non premium version, otherwise no new customers will ever take premium
For customers that had premium in the earlier app I can imagine that they feel cheated on by this new app and pricing. If you want them on your new platform I think you should make them a better/fairer offer than 1 month free trial

The previous app was quite usable for giving access to the the Outdooractive database with tours. The current one is full of bugs and offering inadequate navigtion.
It is no good. My advice: give back people theis EUR 30, make the app free and design it better. Only start asking yearly money if the app is OK.

I was still using the Outdoor premium app, but this was crashing all the time on iPhone 8 ans iOS 12. When checking the appstore I could only find this version and realized that to make maps & tours offline i need a subscription of €30 /year.
Would have been nice to have an info in the old app and other options/subsciptions.

I am using the previous version of Outdooractive and I really liked it. I think I bought the pro version which allows me to use offline maps for €10. Now they charge €30,-/year. I think a price range of €10,- a year better suits this additional functionality.

I got stuck at the onboarding proces. I choosed a region and the i had to choose a favorite starting place/region. The app couldn’t find it and there’s no way to skip. I also can’t find my saved maps which i uploaded as a gpx file. Hope you can improve some beceause i like the app.
