I’ve had the Disney + App since its arrival, my whole family love watching the variety of T.V. Shows new and old. The Marvel films are my favourite and the spin off shows are excellent. The Star Wars films and shows are just as fantastic, we’ve had plenty of great evenings watching the latest shows or films.

Can’t fast forward or rewind more than 10 secs at a time.
Finished movies don’t go away but stay there as though unwatched with 2hrs remaining.
Often crashes when you switch between mini - player and normal window on the phone.
For a company with such a large budget, they made a very poor player. I try and check Netflix and Amazon first and Disney as a last resort to avoid their mistakes player if I can.

Disney+ got good contents but it really frustrates me that the in demand shows / latest episodes keeps buffering.
We’re in the middle of watching a certain show then it would just hang. It happened a couple of times and with other shows.
It is annoying as we’ve paid the subscription for the whole year but we’re like watching a pirated movie.
Please note that we have good high speed internet and we NEVER ever experience this with Netflix and Amazon Prime.
Another issue is the recommendation and search feed. Like for my case, in my profile I always watch international/ Korean/Japanese shows so I would expect my profile will show the related shows that is in line with my personal interest based on what I’ve watched in the past. Again, comparing it with others, like in Netflix, you will see all the relevant shows based on the movies you’ve watched on your profile.
I really hope they will provide an update to improve their service.

I’ve had this app on and off for years. But I’m finished with it now. For years. You pause a show and close the app, it just restarts the episode? I can’t watch anything properly. That’s if you are even lucky enough to find the show under continued watching????? I was on season 15 of family guy, couldn’t find it under continued watching all of a sudden, so I searched it, pressed play and it’s shot me back to season 8!!!! Useless. Will never get this app again.

I love Disney movies and it was so annoying to have to pay to watch them so we always got DVDs.Then we got a new Sky Tv and it had Disney+ on it. We loved it and we used to download tons of thing to watch in long car journeys. But my only problem is, the day after I got an update, all my downloads just disappeared. My iPad has been playing up recently, and I thought it was that, so I went on my phone to check, and the same happened! And on my sister’s too! So I tried to download Bluey, and the Eras Tour again, but it said that it wasn’t working. Please fix this glitch. Otherwise I LOVE DISNEY+!!!!!!!!

Worst download manager of any major app I’ve used . Super slow download speeds when compared to Netflix and Amazon . Download never resumes if you loose connection for a few seconds , infact the resume download button doesn’t even work at all . Finally, when returning to a movie you have downloaded it just restarts the movie rather than resuming it at the point you last reached !

There isn’t much bad about Disney+ so like yeah it’s rlly good as it has a huge range of movies and like Pixar, national geographic so yeah!
I recommend it as lots of the things on Disney+ Netflix doesn’t have and you can even watch movies on flights bc you can download, you can do that on Netflix but like I’d say it’s quicker tbh.

The classics are fantastic, and here and there there are some brilliant new releases.. But the “trigger warnings”, the agenda in many of these new cartoons is just too much. The level of sensitivity and clear pushy wokeness makes a few things it a hard watch

From a parents perspective….
1. The children’s profile blocks a lot of content that isn’t explicitly rated U or aimed at babies. Annoyingly, you can not adjust the age rating on the kids profile, so if your little one wants to watch Moanna for example you have to bump them up to age 6 rating, which disables the Children’s profile. The top banner then constantly advertises the adult content suggesting you make your settings 18+. Annoying and not very child friendly.
2. The categories are vague and vast, which makes it difficult to navigate to titles without using the search function - not ideal if you can not read and write.
3. You can not block or remove content from view.
Netflix handles its children’s profiles in a much more sophisticated way. You can remove titles from appearing (out of sight out of mind, so long peppa pig and coco melon!) and this would improve the Disney app if I could get rid of all the cheap trash that existed just to fill up air time on Disney Juniors.
As an adult user I don’t have any issues, although I do wish there was more behind the scenes content, like there was when it was first launched. That was a USP I enjoyed.

On my Tv, All the Disney channels got deleted and were gone for life (I don’t know if this same problem happend to everyone) but anyway I was heart broken and really sad that I wouldn’t be able to watch my favourite Diseny shows anymore. Then, I firgued out there was an app called Diseny plus and to be fair when I first downloaded Diseny plus I didn’t think it would actual be useful and good. Now, turns out Diseny plus is absolutely fantastically amazing and extraordinarily useful to my daily week and life. Everyday I watch all my favourite shows and my whole family is thriving and loves Diseny plus. I’m so,so,so,so glad that the creator made this amazing fantastic game. Thank you so,so,so, much for this delightful useful app. Diseny Plus is such a lifesaver to me and it means a lot for creating this useful best app. Thank you once again. Must download if you like watching films and shows!!!!

To be honest, I think it helps me with the big problems in my life. I feel this directs me in the right direction. It makes me think about the good, and the bad, how to deal with situations that are (possibly) off the scale (in a bad way). It reminds me about karma. If you do something bad/wrong, the same thing will happen to you. You’ll get what you deserve. Things will scar you for life, it hurts, but let’s think about the positive. Think about the future. How can you make this/your life better? I realise that not only bad things can happen, but that there are good things too. The purpose of life. The purpose you are still living. Living for the ones you love(d). You will see them in Heaven. Believe in yourself. If you trust the bad guys, you will realise they are bad. I find this very helpful and educational.

Edit: GROUP SHARE IS NOW COMPLETELY UNAVAILABLE. The most popular feature of the app, gone !! Disney has so much money and for what?? To make their audience miserable. Have fun with that while you keep losing money Disney !
Disney is great for it’s shows and movies but the groupwatch is becoming so frustrating that it’s almost unusable. I’m in a long distance relationship but we’re both based in Europe, even with that we’re still not able to watch newly released movies together because it’s “not available”. Then when we are watching something together, we’re out of sync most of the time or we’ve somehow ended up in different episodes and we can’t sync again because there’s NO OPTION to CHANGE the episode while you’re in a group watch ??? What the heck ?! We have to send a new link and just, why make it so inconvenient ? I’ve seen third party apps do better than the source which is pretty annoying since I’d rather be using my subscription within the actual app I’m paying for. I just want this to be fixed, it’s been so long already and nothings been done about it yet.

I love Disney+ as growing up I love marvel movies and Disney shows. However, the reason why I gave it 4/5 stars is because when it comes to options for different languages, Hindi is not one of them. I know in India Disney+ and Hotstar got a merge hence they both just got one app where you can access both Hotstar and Disney+ content together which is available in about English and Hindi. I personally think Disney+ UK should give options of different languages Hindi being an example. Since Hindi is such a widely used language, it feels strange that Netflix and Prime have there shows available in Hindi whereas Disney+ have not got one single show on their UK app that has an option of watching it in Hindi. Disney+ please look into this if possible just so that all Hindi speaking people can feel included and can enjoy your shows and movies in a language that they are most comfortable with. Otherwise thank you for always entertaining me and being such a huge part of my life.

Buggy app with little features

Disney plus has some decent content but the app falls seriously short of the mark. It is extremely glitchy and often disconnects itself from the phone while streaming to my chrome cast. Which means I have to disconnect the chrome cast and reboot, then connect it all up again. It happens fairly regularly. It also misses out basic functions, like a stop button… it only has play and pause. Pretty stupid.
Another issue with the app is the continue watching function, it never starts from where you left off, it always just starts from the beginning of the movie or show. So you have to remember how long was left and skip through to it.
Otherwise it’s ok I guess but from Disney, who have major resources, you’d at very least expect a decent app.

Here is my main issue with Disney’s app. Disney are one of the biggest and richest companies in the world - they’ve likely got the best app designers and engineers and yet one major fundamental issue I have is the app does not recall previous viewing places for films of programmes when it crashes so you’re immediately taken back to the beginning! Sorry but not good enough for a company of Disney’s size. Also other issues on both tablet and iPhone include when playing it through the TV - multiple crashes of episodes or films and even outside of playing it through my TV I experience the app crashing a disproportionately higher time than say Netflix or Prime. Whilst the content is good - I expect nothing less, this is Disney after all an they own practically everything. I like that once you watch something you’ve downloaded it doesn’t have an expiry like Netflix but seriously Disney your UX is atrocious and your app performance is shocking by comparison to other steaming services.

Disney+ is absolutely incredible. Whatever you want to watch comes in the highest quality and a range of languages which is helpful for so many people. I literally use this app to watch a show or movie before I go to bed. There is only one thing I think would make Disney+ a 5 star app. Sometimes I start watching a series on Disney+ and then I don’t want to watch it anymore so I end up with about 15 things in my continue watching list. Netflix has an option where you can remove anything from your continue watching list so if you could add this feature I would be extremely grateful. Bit other than that this app is the most perfect app and I love it so much!! Definitely download this app right now!!

I love the selection of shows on Disney+ but the app is very basic with no filtering, an incredibly basic search function and a recent update changes the end of a show to a thumbnail while showing a countdown to the next episode, so you have to watch the last 10 seconds in miniature.
There’s also the much complained about bug of subtitles appearing on every show until you turn them off, but you have to turn them off on every episode, every time, but it still hasn’t been fixed after years of complaints on forums.
The age ratings are also Disney age ratings, not the universal rating bodies, so beware of inappropriate content for kids.

The app has many bugs and flaws two of which of most frustrating. Neither can I login through the app it can you give me the option to login, it says at the bottom use a mobile device that is connected to the same network, open the Disney+ app and we’ll take it from there and then the app freezes always and then I turn to casting. Where are you played on your phone app and there is a little thing at the top of the screen and you try and connect it says in order to cost to make sure your local network access is allowed and that your device and cast device (tv) are on the same network, it’s definitely on the same network iv even disconnected and reconnected it, I’ve checked both software for the app is up-to-date phone is up-to-date but it still doesn’t work quite poor for such a big network

Where to start?
I chromecast from my phone and this is the nonsense I deal with.
Every single episode of every single series, or every single film I watch, automatically starts with subtitles.
If I try to turn the subtitles off too early, then the whole thing buffers.
I called them up, and they were super helpful, but didn’t resolve the issue. Except for turning off all subtitles engrained in a show. So, ones that were supposed to be there - off! No matter what! But, the ones I don’t need? Still on!!!!
You can’t rewind more than 10 secs. But it takes 9 secs to do it. It’s like Disney hates you and wants you to have the worst viewing experience.
I’m 10 minutes from the end of a film right now, but got distracted and wanted to go back a couple of minutes. Nope. Not allowed to happen.
You can try to slide the counter once, but go too far and try to push it forward again? Nope. Circle of doom.
Every episode I watch, Disney still thinks I’m still watching it, even if I’ve watched right to the end of the ‘who did voices’ nonsense. And it can be at any random point. Makes no sense.
My watchlist doesn’t appear in the main screen options.
My currently watching is out of date (see above).
Things that I like watching, disappear from my currently watching, and things I hate, I can’t remove.
It’s crap. My advice? Don’t bother.

I love Disney+! I love watching it. With family or friends! I used to watch Disney channel and Disney junior too. But one day it stopped working. I was really sad. Because all my favourite shows and movies were on it. Until my mother bought Disney plus. I immediately started watching Miraculous again. I’ve been watching it for years now. And when season 5 came out I was ecstatic. I was binging it for days. I thought there were only eight episodes. I finished the whole season in a day. But when I found out there were more episodes. I kept trying to find them online. But I only got to watch episode 9 11 and 12. Hopefully you will add the rest soon

Ok, I like Disney plus. No problems with the app besides one. I downloaded Disney on my phone and when I took a screenshot the screenshot was black. I took several screenshots but all of them were blacked out besides the volume meter on one of them. I only wanted to make an edit on the owl house but I can’t know. :[ I understand it’s so people don’t steal the content, but a screenshot? Really Disney? I haven’t yet tried to screen record, but I assume it would have a similar effect. Thanks for reading my review, have a nice day or night! :]

Impressively Bad for a company such as Disney

Oh man do they have work to catch up on Netflix. This app is very bad, especially on Apple TV.
The app fails to play content often saying "Oops something went wrong". This isn't related to our internet connection which is rock solid as all other streaming apps work without issue. It also lacks basic features like screen lock on iOS which is silly as Disney is for families with young children. It also doesn't remember language choice for each show, so I constantly have to switch between audio tracks. Most of all, the UX is terrible, forcing you to long press to view episode lists. I hope Disney isn't happy with the current state of their app but I'm seeing very few updates being rolled up to improve the experience, only silly redesigns of the homescreen to promote this or that content. Will unsubscribe if it doesn't improve soon. Netflix can sleep soundly as the level of the main competition is laughable.

Very frustrating app . There is no “skip episode” option, you have to manually forward all the way to the end. When I say end I mean the last 2 seconds of the credits. It’s so frustrating when you have already seen a few episodes . You have to come off of the series, then go back on it and scroll through all of the episodes to find the next one that you want.
When picking a movie to watch. If you have already started watching it previously there is no option of watching from the start . The movie takes a long time to load your last location and then when you “rewind “ it again takes a long time to load. Just offer a “start again” button.
Very low audio quality, very quiet and you have to turn your device volume all the way up. ( compare to other streaming apps ).
Content is great and so much to choose from, such a shame that the app is being overlooked.

The UI or user interface is absolutely terrible.
It’s a bandwidth hog, skipping sections or rewinding causes freezes and delays you shouldn’t get in this day and age.
The content while good, lacks (some) the extras and features of the home release versions. The cuts/edits also could do with some improvement, allowing people to see directors cuts etc.
There is no 3D or VR content.
When we went on holiday, we were unable to play anything or access anything not already downloaded. This may also apply to content that has ‘expired’ so will need to be tested next holiday abroad.
The app frequently crashes when you switch from windowed mode on iPhone/iPad to full screen.
The app also needs a function to return you to all episodes of that show, as well as one to see if you’re still watching. Fell asleep with it playing and woke up seasons later. Had to go search for the show to get to the episode listing.
Don’t even get me started on how they have butchered the classic Simpson’s episode by forcing you to watch a badly cropped letterbox version that removes a lot of the visual humour.
Otherwise it’s a great place to watch all your favourite Disney and Fox content.

I love the Disney streaming app, it’s on par with Netflix for functionality. It definitely beats Prime which has its issues (for one subtitles I’m looking at you). However the only thing I’d really like to see is when you click into video to bring up options to be able to see the time. This may be intentional that you can’t do it but for people like me who have TV with everything that only works with time management and it’s weird having to check another device than the one I’m watching for it. Or having to come out of the app entirely to see it, which makes for choppy viewing. Both prime and Netflix have this feature and it’s one of those things, especially when getting ready for work in a morning, which is very helpful and means I can still do life but get my tv fix.

The image quality is good on all the shows but the audio, not so much. On Dolby Atmos content the audio is very quiet and loses out on detail as a result. Other streaming services or Blu-ray Discs don’t have this issue. I’m using the Ambeo Soundbar and never need to exceed 40% volume on any other content, but with Disney plus I have to turn it up to 60% to just about hear anything. And even then it can still manage to go quiet. I can see from various forums this issue is wide spread and well known for over a year. I really don’t understand why this hasn’t been fixed yet. In addition to the above current day diversity and inclusion politics have infiltrated most shows. As a result this has caused heavy distraction at the cost of their content no longer being an immersive escape or entertaining. Please go back to the previous formula of making your content enjoyable for all.

The content available is top quality, definitely on par with Netflix. However, the constant buffering or things not loading at all, gets old really quick.
This has been a problem since launch and by now should be fixed. Before anyone says it’s due to my internet speed, it’s not. My average download speed is around 80mb, which is more than enough to watch something without any buffering, so the problem must be with the app itself.
The problems I’ve mentioned are frustrating because they literally happen every-time myself or my family try to watch something and don’t even get me started on the PlayStation app. That’s just a none starter. The same problems I’ve already mentioned and that’s if the app actually launches/loads, plus many more issues.
Pull your finger out Disney. You have more money and resources than all the other streaming services combined, why don’t you fix your faulty product and give people what they pay for.

Flaky playback and poor DRM handling for downloads

Great content but app reliability needs work. Even on a strong connection I regularly get the spinning wheel (reminds me of RealPlayer buffering). Equivalent app on Samsung TV never does this - only affects iOS. CDN related?
Also the handling of downloads is terrible. Pre-download content for a flight so the kids have something to watch and it turns out you still need a connection for content to play, at least once/ the first time, or else you get the “oops something went wrong” message which is totally un-resolvable on a plane. That was a fun flight I can tell you. Can only assume this is related to DRM or retrieving the last stop point or something but it’s awful, happens regularly and not something the likes of Netflix does (although they handle offline content / DRM expiry differently).

Disney+ has lots of great features but the app specifically impresses me.
You can watch Disney+ with someone else on FaceTime! It works when you’re watching with someone else who also has Disney+ (even if you have 2 profiles the same account!) - it prompts you and your FaceTime partner to sign in to your profile and then you can tap into watching the same episode at the same time as the other person! It’s brilliant, and ahead of its time. Netflix doesn't allow this feature, and when you try to share Netflix by using screen share, it blacks the screen out.
I think this feature is amazing and massively underrated. It’s definitely made the difference in my long distance relationship, and we use Disney+ more as a result. We’re considering cancelling Netflix and just sticking with Disney+. It has so much choice and you can watch it with others. Hands down, 10/10. Thanks, clever tech people at Disney.

For years for keeping up to date with acquisitions like Lucasfilm and 21st Century Fox, I’m proud to say this is by far Disney’s biggest achievement, with a great amount of content from Disney, Pixar, Marvel, Lucasfilm, 20th Century Studios, Searchlight Pictures and National Geographic as all part of the general entertainment, since Star launched last yea and have it aimed towards grownups with also the inclusion of Parental Controls, I’m so speechless how Disney+ has improved since last year, not saying it’s been bad at all but this business knowledge I have about The Walt Disney Company themselves is like having a really healthy and knowledgeable mindset, well done to the Disney+ team and Disney themselves for making all it’s content/IPs suitable for different age groups for everyone to enjoy and making it safe

Fix the “Oh no, something went wrong” bug

OK enough other reviewers have mentioned this so maybe the developers will take notice. When you’ve watched an episode and the iPad app tries to auto-play the next one, EVERY SINGLE TIME it gives an “Oh no, something went wrong” style message. The only way to play the next episode is to quit the iPad application and reload it. Clicking the retry button has about the same effect as clicking your fingers, the app eventually hangs.
This quickly becomes tiresome. It’s not a DNS, internet connectivity, TCP/UDP or streaming issue because it doesn’t happen with any other streaming content application from the various ones I use, just Disney+ and I’m on a gigabit full fibre connection. For this reason 3 stars, as the content itself (when you can play it) is good. Come on developers, this is a simple thing to reproduce in a test environment and fix, and would otherwise make this a 5 star app.

Disney+ is a great streaming platform and has a huge range of content for all types of customers so I can’t complain too much. The app itself is pretty easy to navigate but there are several improvements that could be put in place. For example: when I’m watching a show on the TV or PS4 version of the app, instead of being able to click on show’s profile in order to bring up the list of episodes, I have to manually search for the show. Otherwise, when I click on it in my “continue watching” section, it just brings up the episode I was watching previously rather than the show’s profile. It’s not a huge deal but it would save me an extra minute or so since I wouldn’t have to type out the entirety of the show’s name in the search box. Also, the placement of subtitles can be quite irritating especially when they’re in the top left corner of the screen and are out of frame. I don’t have this problem often but when I do it’s quite frustrating as it’s easier for me to watch it with them than it is without them. Again, not a huge deal but it’s something that could definitely be improved on. Other than that I love Disney+ :)

I love this app. Thanks to this, I no longer have to go around looking for the best deals on old Disney movies and Marvel related things. Plus with the addition of Star, I’m able to view some older films that I’ve been wanting to watch too. If TV series are more your thing, there is everything from Modern Family to 24 to The Walking Dead. It is the only streaming service I enjoy and would continue subscribing to as long as the price remains reasonable. My only issues are the fact that there aren’t that many pre-70s movies which I would love to see more of and since there is something new every day, they have removed the A-Z of movies which is a pity as I needed that to know which movies I have yet to see. Other than that, it’s a wonderful app for the whole family to enjoy

I am a blind user of the iPhone, and find the Disney+ app is quite good to use with the native screen reader VoiceOver on the iPhone. But there are some problems, namely you cannot choose audio described content only when looking through the list of films, movies etcetera, so blind people can’t tell what has been audio described and what hasn’t until they open it up and select subtitles and then try and find the audio described selection. Also, there is a problem in the search feature, that does not work well with VoiceOver at all. You can enter texting via the keyboard, or speak what you want to look for, but altering the text with the delete key, or swiping up and down through words, characters et cetera using VoiceOver on the iPhone does not work. You can manage it, but it’s very very hit and miss. Would someone in app development please look at these problems. Thanks.

How can one of the most successful multinational conglomerates in entertainment have such a diabolical excuse of an app?! How can “Skip to next episode” be such an oversight? “Continue watching from a previous time stamp” is another very simple requirement that is expected of a streaming service you pay a subscription for. User Interface is a big deal here. Whether Disney are oblivious to it all which I highly doubt, or they just don’t care enough about the consumer’s experience to invest any money into updating it. The app cuts off closing scenes from episodes to automatically play the next one and, I have no idea why, but Disney somehow forgets where I’m at with a series and for the last week or two has consistently gone back to a specific episode for no reason whatsoever. So I now have to manually go and find the episode I was at because the app lost it, and to do that I need to search the name of the programme just to get an episode list to change to! It’s lazy, it’s sloppy, it’s a shambles. And Disney need to pull their finger out and pay attention to their subscribers.

Gave it 4 stars for the content but need to address the “continue watching” section in your profile it constantly just leaves shows and movies in there well after you have finished them and no end of googling how to get rid of them works. Even if you let movie or show play out til the very end of the credits (but who wants to have to sit through an extra 10 mins to let it play out) it still doesn’t disappear from continue watching and it’s so annoying. This can’t be that hard a thing to fix surely. Netflix offers you a “remove from row” option on the continue watching section surely the Disney developers can do the same thing. I love the content on Disney plus but this a seriously annoying flaw and something they’ve had ample time to fix since it’s been out over a year now (maybe even 2 can’t remember exactly when it was released)

I love this, I enjoy watching agents of shield on this. The reason I put 3 stars (not anymore. Sequels have actually been getting better.) even though I love it so much? Sequels. And bad movies with sequels. Bad movies are already... well, Bad, And sequels, Ohohoh- That a whole other story. Sequels are terrible, I would love if disney could make a movie with their OWN ORIGINAL IDEA (Many of the films are basically stolen) and when they make a sequel, MAKE IT ACTUALLY GOOD. Infinity war was good, End game was terrible. So the main reason I got Disney + was to watch agents of shield because it’s an amazing show. I was on season 5 episode 10 and THE NEXT DAY it was gone! This is outrageous, it’s unfair. Apart from that small misdemeanour I absolutely love Disney + as it’s so easy to use and has a lot to watch, however it would be 10x better if agents of shield was back. It’s also don’t like how on some shows (such as Rapunzel’s tangled adventure) it only shows one out of the 3 seasons. This makes it less enjoyable. It doesn’t feel equal that some people can watch all 3 seasons just because they are in a different country, because we are all paying the same amount for the service. Overall I do enjoy using Disney + however if it included all seasons and put agents of shield back on I would be a lot happier. 😎

When Disney+ first came out it was a great place to find everything Disney: The subscription cost was cheap (and still is) the interface is easy to navigate and all of the movies/tv shows can be found in the highest picture quality. They even upscaled movies like Star Wars for the service.
My problem with Disney+ when it first came out was that there wasn’t really any adult or original content. What was on there was everything you’ve basically seen 1000 times already; only thing worth it was ‘The Manadlorian’. But it’s getting much better.
Now that they’re starting to really push out original shows, like Mando season 2 and the Marvel shows, it feels like Disney+ is really pushing ahead. They’ve also recently added STAR which has dropped a load of mature movies and TV shows for us to enjoy. It’s now no longer something you just buy for the kids, everyone can truly enjoy it and there’s way more to look forward to.

Great catalogue but buggy app

The catalogue of movies/shows is outstanding, however the app is not very good at remembering where you stopped playing and instead of resuming, often just starts the episode/movie again (especially when for example switching from tablet to chromecast). It’s odd because the episode/movie resume status can be seen, so the software knows where we left off, but instead of picking up there it just starts again. Also the overall AI regarding finished viewings could be improved, if an episode or movie is stopped when near the credits, instead of showing played (and if an episode, skipping to the next episode when resuming) it will just think that’s where we left off. Also, skipping credits and recaps seems not possible on Chromecast.
If these software issues could be fixed the app would be perfect 👍🏻

I love this app, it is what got me through lockdown, the only problem is that it doesn’t have everything, it has the movies and Pixar, marvel, Star Wars ecetera, but I wanted to watch a tv show from my childhood that was shown on playhouse Disney, I couldn’t find it anywhere else and it was implied that everything by Disney is on Disney plus, so I spent a long time looking around on it for the show and was kind of disappointed when I couldn’t find it (something for the creators to fix) despite this I’m giving it 4 stars because I’ve had it for a long time and it has never glitched and all the movies and series are great quality and I can watch something on my phone and finish on another device from the same place.
Ps. The show was called Johnny and the sprites, it would be really cool if you could add it. :)

So, this app started off with a few bugs and glitches and not that as many originals. Now, it has 60+ Original Shows/Movies to watch, a few movies from the Fox archive, along with a tonne of movies and TV shows from the Disney Company brands including Marvel and Star Wars. It also lets you watch something in the streaming service with up to 6 people, which is awesome for the times that we are in at the moment. This is a wonderful app and I will be keeping this streaming service for the next year. I will be renewing my subscription in March 2021 for Year 2. This is a great streaming service with lots to offer. Looking forward to the adult/mature content to be added onto the streaming service in February 2021. Thank you Disney for this great streaming service. It was truly a genius idea.

£60 for a yearly subscription yet the app doesn’t work. If I’m lucky enough for the app to actually open then it won’t play anything. It will either come up with “oops something went wrong” or it will play seconds of something and then buffer for what seems like eternity (for example I got 7 seconds into the latest episode of The Mandalorian and then the buffering started). The picture is also way too dark and the sound muffled. I’ve uninstalled the app and reinstalled so many times in the hope of actually being able to use the service I am paying for without having to wait for something to download. Shouldn’t even be advertised as a streaming service!
I have reported this issue numerous times but nobody has ever contacted me or bothered to reply to social media messages. I’m sorely tempted to ask for a refund but I don’t think anyone would get back to me about that either. It amazes me that a company as big as Disney can’t be bothered to deliver what their customers deserve.
If you haven’t subscribed yet and are thinking about it I wouldn’t bother. Save your money and just get the DVDs or Blu Rays. Unless this gets a massive overhaul I won’t be renewing when it comes round.

I really love all of this app! I love how I can stream stuff on my phone then continue it on my tv. However for movies and stuff like that, I’ll finish the film and be in the middle of the credits and it stays on my continue watching list, it’s really annoying because then I have to scroll through a bunch of films I’ve finished, instead of being able to find what I want easily. Also, Netflix had a feature which let you remove stuff from your continue watching list, it helps if you start a series then don’t want to watch anymore, if that was added I could remove the films I’ve finished (which are still on the continue watching list for some reason). It’s kind of annoying when you can’t find your place in a film or series, for example, I was watching a film and had to go about 40 minutes in, when I came back to it, it said it had 12 minutes left, which it didn’t when I left. when my phone is in my pocket, it starts playing randomly which is annoying.
I know it’s new so I can’t judge that hard, but if they fixed those faults it would be so much better!

Disney + is amazing !! But I’d love if you added this Disney movie and Disney show. If its not a big hassle I’d love you to add stuck in the middle from Disney channel and zombies 2 also from Disney channel. Also it would be a dream come true if you added Nickelodeon shows even just shows like ICarly,the thundermans , zoey 101( although it’s old ) and victorious oh and Nicky,Ricky,Dicky and dawn . If you can do this that would be great! Just to start off , Disney + is a really great streaming app to watch old disney shows and movies and they also have disney + originals like HSMTMTS and Be Our Chef and they have something for everyone but they are some faults for example when you’ve finished an episode and you come off the app , it doesn’t say that you’ve watched for example on Netflix it has a red line underneath the episode indicating how much you’ve watched but on Disney + it doesn’t have that.
Also some series aren’t in order for example Phineas and Ferb, the episodes aren’t in order. They haven’t put the pilot episode as the first episode, they have put it further down so i have to search what the correct order is for the episodes so that i can watch it properly.
Overall i think it’s a great app for the family and obviously it’s a new app so there are gonna be some faults. All Disney has to do is fix those bugs and then the app will be 10x better.

I was searching for a good film when I saw a short animated film. It was Party saurus Rex. I clicked on it because I did not know what is was about. I also clicked play. I loved it! The toys were having a big party and they did not mind that the bath was going to over flow. It was the best short animated film. I also watched another one about a 13-year-old girl who was autistic. At first, I did not understand. My mum had to explain what was wrong with her and then I understood it. After that, I watched another one called Out. I did not understand it at first. Mum had to explain to me. It was about a man who was to embarrassed to admit to his family that he was gay. I really enjoyed these short animated films. Partysaurus Rex was the best of all of them.

I can’t fault Disney on their content, they truly have done better with their launch than Apple did and its at a great price too.
Here are the issues. There are lots of bugs in the app and to me it feels like the built in player is still in beta. I’v so far come across screen resizing to the lower third of the player and not being able to rapidly hit the jump forward button with out it thinking I’m waiting it to close. The controls are temperamental when watching films/ programs and when I decide to google something while watching, it turns into a flip of the coin on whether it will work or not. There are lots of bugs more than I’v mentioned here and it’s a shame, but it’s not just confined to the app. I admit there are fewer bugs on pc but I find the web site limits it to non HD, it’s confusing to me as Netflix and prime video have this nailed.
I know disney is the new comer here so I hope they can improve all aspects off their service as it’s nothing sort off amazing content. It’s just a shame they didn’t flush the software/ app out first a little. It almost feels like the software was rushed, just like Apple rushed to put tiers out with little to no content at launch.
My personal experience has been tainted by these constant annoyances and it saddens me to give them a 2 star but I feel it’s justified for now. If they can get the app/ software working smoothly then I believe they have a great finning formula.

I really like the app and I was excited when it came out. The quality is great and you get a large variety of movies and series that you can binge on. However, there is a few issues that I’ve noticed that aren’t too much of a problem but can be a little disappointing. One issue that I’ve noticed is that sometimes when I watch a series and there’s a ‘skip intro’ button it sometimes doesn’t pop up until halfway through the intro which is kind of annoying if you don’t want to listen to it over and over again. Another issue that I’ve had is that I started watching a movie and I didn’t finish it so I thought I’d continue where I left off in a few days but when I got back to it it was taken off my ‘continue watching’ list. This app has great potential and I love it but there are some features that need fixing.

1) Progress through an episode is regularly lost. So I have to guess where I watched to. This is particularly the case when I’m air playing to Apple TV. It also happens if I close the app mid episode. Or if the app is disturbed, such as a phone call.
2) Poor navigation for TV series. Unless you want to play the next episode, you have to again click what series you want, then click the episode. Netflix is better in that it keeps the navigation in the series first, then goes out to other series if you require it. In addition to this, unless you are actually on the next episode, the “continue playing episode” feature in the home screen will put you back into the end credits of the previous episode. It isn’t smart to know when to watch the next episode. Again you either have to navigate to the current series then the next episode. Or load the credits of the previous episode and hope that the “play next episode” pops up.

Great content, very poor parental controls

The look and feel of the app is great. The content is fantastic.
The real let down is with the parental controls. I can set up different profiles and selects which ones are kids, but that is as far as I can go.
There is ‘kids content’ or ‘all content’. I have an older kid (who could watch content for under 16’s) and a younger kid (who could watch content for under 12’s). With Disney+ they both have to have the same account permissions - there is no flexibility which one kid losing content or one kid having access to inappropriate content.
Similarly, we share devices in our house so my kids might watch Disney+ on my phone, iPad or the Apple TV. This means they can bypass the kids app by selecting my profile instead of theirs - proving access to all content regardless of age rating. A simple ‘parental pin’ would resolve this issue, where the main account holder can set a pin that must be entered to view content over a specific age (of my choice). The ‘pin’ feature would also resolve the younger/older child content issue, as my older child could have an ‘all’ content account, they would a pin to access content over a certain age (for example 12+).

Okay. At first I thought the app was good, I’ve run into too many problems. Firstly, after you watch something, it doesn’t indicate that you’ve watched it (unlike Netflix). So if you’re watching a series it’s hard to tell where you stopped.
Secondly, you cannot skip to the next episode while watching something. You have to wait about 5 seconds after the credits to skip to the next episode. Sometimes it doesn’t even work so you have to end up going off the episode and searching/scrolling for the next episode. Most of the time I come off of the app it just restarts. Which can be annoying.
There are many movies/shows that are not available to watch yet (literally not available for months) but you can still see the title and picture on there as if it is. I don’t get the point of that at all.
It’s not like this is a new app from a small company. They need to fix up...

Worth the wait!!

This app has EVERYTHING!! All the classic to modern Disney animated films, Pixar films, Marvel and Star Wars. They even have classic Disney Animated short stories such as Mickey Mouse’s debut as “Steambout Willie”. The app has the original movies from Disney Channel, as well as the TV shows. One of the categories that it has is Disney through the decades from the 1940s to now. I’m looking forward to watching the original programmes such as “The Mandelorian”, live action “Lady and the Tramp” as well as the upcoming Marvel TV shows. My only complaint ( which I’m sure everyone else is thinking) is that I wish Disney releases original stories as a whole season, rather than to wait weekly for the next episode. But that’s just a small thing. This app is a must have for Disney fanatics. 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟

The app is really easy to use, smooth navigation, looks good. But their is a problem. For us UK viewers who have patiently waited months longer than people in USA, Australia, Netherlands etc we are still being subjected to the drip feed weekly release of the new episodes of Disney originals. Mandalorian, HSMTM, Clone Wars S7...only available to watch episode 1 or 2. Not a full box set even though they have been live in other markets for months. No mention of this release schedule when subscribing for the 12 month up front option. Pretty duplicitous. I understand that licensing deals for IP can prevent all Disney owned content being on the service at launch, but the original shows they are promoting as the unique selling point of the service should all be available at launch for £49 up front.
