The design approach called permaculture is most often used for landscape planning, natural resource planning, and gardening.  Now, more often, it's ethics and principles are being applied to human communities. There is also a growing acknowledgement of its foundation in land-based spirituality and practice of indigenous communities across the globe.The humble awareness of this integration is instructive for people of faith seeking to address the climate crisis.  This field guide seeks to apply permaculture principles to the church's approach to spiritual practice, use of natural resources, and community engagement.
