We weten dat het niet makkelijk is om een perfect evenement te vinden om bij te wonen, dus we blijven manieren zoeken om evenementen beter aan onze leden aan te bevelen. In deze release hebben we met name de manier verbeterd waarop we zoekresultaten voor evenementen categoriseren in onze complete 'verkenner'-ervaring.

Stop spamming
I just received a notification about some event that was "promoted" by some organizer. First of all, not my area of interest but most importantly I absolutely do not tolerate spam like this so decided to uninstall immediately. (I did not even bother to see if there is an option for it, I manage my notification settings with a Keen eye to keep distractions to a minimum so it's likely added as opt-out 😖)

Really bad app
1) can’t register new account or sign in to existing accounts. Getting either no response or “OAuth” error.
2) choosing one city but gives solely recommendations for neighbouring, more popular city. Could turn off with distance limiter, but should be an “only this city” option.

Biling problem
Just payed By Apple account before reniewal and losted the organizer rights on meetup anyway cause of a billing problem.
Spent lot of time for the group and Now they do not answer to emails with my screenshots payment proof

No support for ipad
I use my iPad for work related stuff and attending meetups is usually work-related for me. I was surprised that there is no iPad version of the app and I hope they’ll update that soon.

Hele leuke app!! Je vind allerlei leuke activiteiten, bij jouw in de buurt of verder in het land, waar je zowel eenmalig als meerdere keren aan mee kan doen! Veel activiteiten zijn ook gratis. En het is een leuke manier om nieuwe mensen te ontmoeten!

Delen formulier voor LinkedIn is knop niet zichtbaar.
Wil je iets delen vanuit de app dan moet je rechts bovenin het formulier klikken. Daar zit een onzichtbare verzendknop. 😇
Ook is het onduidelijk als je hebt doorgeklikt hoe je weer terugkomt of hoe je personen binnen de app kunt zoeken.
Idee is goed, nog wel wat te verbeteren.

Potentially good
Installed and created account today. Unfortunately this app and owning company is very data hungry and collecting and combining every thinkable step you and others make in this environment. And freely sharing it with anyone who will pay for it while listing an event still is quite expensive. It’s not worth the journey. This type of company should not be supported. To top it off: deleting your account is not made easy apparently. No kill switch in the app and not any help topic in the help pages. Enough said. Stay away or stop supporting this company. Make a statement. Cheers.

I’ve used the Meetup app to meet several professionals in my fields. It has brought me in contact with like minded people and also challenged me to be better. Only down part is about the pricing for each event which has just been introduced. It might deter some people.
