Taxi driver secretly cancelled my ride in Dublin
I first used the FREE NOW App in Ireland. I reserved a taxi from the airport to the city in the evening. The app showed a price of 23 euros. The taxi was waiting at the agreed point. When we drove, the driver told us that he wanted 35 euros in cash for the ride. The driver had secretly canceled my taxi ride in the app. I paid the amount under protest. According to FREE NOW I could pay for the taxi with my credit card linked to my FREE NOW account. I contacted FREE NOW to complain and to request a bill for the ride, because I couldn't print it from the APP now, because the driver secretly canceled the ride. The FREE NOW helpdesk refused to help me. I have never experienced this with UBER.

Driver never showed up
I reserved the others day for a taxi the next day in Cassis, France. The booking was confirmed. The next day the booking was still active, but as soon as the time slot was passed the booking was ‘not found ‘. No driver showed up, and since we had to be on time for our train it caused a lot of stress arranging a different kind of transport. I will not rely on this app again.

I absolutely will not countenance the creep of this abhorrent cultural abomination from America. Europe is supposed to be civilised. I’ve now deleted the app.

Great app in Barcelona
Till now I only used FreeNow in Barcelona. Unfortunately it doesn’t work in Amsterdam, where mafia taxi prices are horrible. I used it at least eight times during a business trip in Barça, and all trips and payments via the app were arranged and executed fast and flawless. Only once I had a driver that drove too fast and bumpy. I saw the three star appreciation just during the trip. So check the stars before you select the taxi. Apart from this one I only gave five stars. It’s a really great and helpful system.

App crashes / extra charges
- can’t comment about the quality of the services, but if you try to attach an image with a service request it’s an instant crash and you loose the entire form. Poor build.
- a ton of extra hidden fees, not transparent pricing. Was not happy.

Absolutely awful app. Time indications are always wrong and the app hasn’t worked the last 10 times I’ve tried to get a taxi. Waited for twenty minutes each time and got some automated message then, saying they couldn’t find a taxi, please try again. (Dublin)

Great technology, very expensive!!
Work great om the mobile phone, but we ended up paying 50% more than google suggested price in Napels (Italy). Google probably needs to build in the Italian tourist trap factor?

The price indication doesnt work (No taximeter)
Booked a taxi from Napels (Italy) to Airport. The app showed the price about 8-10 euro. When arrived, the driver charged extra 6 euros for the service cost and the trip was 16 euro, total 22 euro. Its like the price is more and less decided by the taxi driver.
The location and payment works fine. But the app doesnt have taximeter in use.

Misleading Price
Booked a taxi through this app from the Naples train station to the airport. The price estimate was 8-10 euros. Once in the car the taxi driver told us that there’s a fixed 18 euro fare from the station to the airport. And on top of that we paid 1.50€ for the booking service which could have been avoided had we taken one of the many taxis lined up at the station.

App to pay extra for your ride
Based on Google Maps the indicated price for our ride from the airport in Naples to the city was between 14-18 euro. Ended up paying 33.50 euro while the flat rate for standard taxi’s on the airport is 20 euro.

Mijn vriendin en ik hebben deze app gebruikt in Italië. We hebben serieus van de 40 keer dat we om een taxi vroegen (ook op commerciële plaatsen) en ook met haar app maar 3 keer een taxi gekregen. Hier baalde we enorm van omdat we dus sommige stukken moesten gaan lopen over gevaarlijke wegen omdat we ervanuit gingen dat we gewoon zouden worden opgehaald. Daarbij waren de tarieven vaak ook veel hoger dan de app aangaf, zo betaalde wij voor een rit van 8 min 38 euro omdat de taxi een halfuur bij ons vandaan was waar wij dus voor moesten betalen terwijl in de app stond dat de taxi 5 min. bij ons vandaan was. Dus voor in Italie is het zeker geen aanrader!

The drivers takes longer route
Had to use it in Barcelona, the driver took the longer route (19KM) deliberately while there was a shorter one with only 8.7KM. Would recommend other app which calculates in standard fees, instead of accumulating by KM. Good luck.

Incorrect pricing
The app said my ride would be in between 50 and 60 euros, but the cab driver said 130 was the absolute lowest he could go. Nothing like Uber, just an easy way to ring a can driver up, but prices are way off.

Fraudulent App
In Italy, i took a cab from naples to baiba, While the App shows 40 euros the driver charged me 95 ( the app DIDNOT notify me that the driver will charge as per the local rate while booking) if this is the case - I SHOULD KNOW IT BEFORE THE PURCHASE NOT AFTER. When I complained to mytaxi- they are emailing me this that the driver can do this and are not returning my money.

Very convenient.
We had used this in Barcelona and the trip had been amazing as it was super convenient and not at all expensive.We could go around at our own preferred time and the drivers were also polite and helpful.

MyTaxi @ Berlin is mind blowing!
We just used the app twice in Berlin (Germany).
Both times the taxi (for 5 people + luggage) reached us within 2 minutes! Highly recommended!

Driver must have gotten a better offer. This is why the world needs uber. Because taxi drivers are arrogant and incompetent of delivering the service they claim to offer.

Easy install and usage
We installed the app upon arrival at Lisbon airport and used it immediately.
That worked great, few days later used it again, very convenient.
The integration with google maps is super.
But...both times the costs exceeded the estimation, even above the high value range.
I don’t like that, would be nice to have either a fixed or at least a maximum price.

More expensive than it indicates
The indicated rates shown are (much) lower than the actual ones. I had to pay twice as much as was indicated. Support center just states that they cannot do anything about it. Other apps such as Cabify or Uber are cheaper and work much better.

Great app! Saved me lot of money and time ! First search took couple minutes and i almost quited,but then my cab was found(sunday evening, was quite busy). Also, at 23.20 i was able to get a cab in 2-3 mins. Excellent cars, great app and great city! Tnx to my taxi!

Price estimations incorrect - rip off!
I used this app in Spain to order a taxi. Based on the price estimation given (12-15 euro’s), I ordered a taxi instead of taking public transport. Even though there was little to no traffic on the road, or any delay whatsoever, the price charged was 26 euro’s- double the estimation given! When making a complaint about this, I simply got a reply that the amount is an estimation and there was nothing they can do about it.
If you ask me, you’re better off using Uber or another source as drivers on mytaxi can still rip you off.

Cannot add Credit Card
The app seems easy to use and there are A LOT of mytaxi taxis in Dublin. However, the whole reason I wanted the app was so I could get a taxi without needing to have cash and to get a fare estimate before hailing a cab. However, I cannot add my credit card to the app. I tried multiple days in a row. A service request on the first day was never replied. My bank reports multiple accepted/successful requests from the app, yet the app fails, making the app useless for me.

Incorrect estimated price
I’ve used my taxi in Katowice, and final price was !!twice!! bigger than estimated one.
Price entered by drivers and available in application was also different ones:
Estimate was 130 PLN, final was 270, and price in application was 220.

Disappointing
On my holiday in Milan, there was a public transport strike. This app sounded great. But when I ordered the taxi, nothing happened. Just a grey icon car and nothing about a cab being available or anything else. Made me wait, because I didn’t dare to push the button again. My location had 3-4 minutes, what that meant, I have no idea. I gave up and walked till I found a taxi stand and got one the old fashioned way.

SCAM - mytaxi driver scammed me

When you flag a taxi at the side of the road, they may insist you pay with cash, but reserving with the app means you have more control.

Misleading prices
Ordering a taxi is easy, we had a friendly taxi driver, but the price was said to be around 14€. In the end we had to pay 26.78€ - almost twice as much!
For this amount we could easily have gotten a regular cab without having to wait for the driver.
