Screen keeps freezing when I want to search for hostels. (iPhone12) many times not possible to search and book hostels because of the freezing thing..

Keeps freezing
Used this app for every stay on my travels in the past but recently the screen keeps freezing when I try to search for hostels with the app on my iPhone 11 Pro. I hope it gets fixed soon :)

App werkt niet meer naar behoren
Jaren de app zonder problemen kunnen gebruiken nu faalt hij al met een foutmelding bij het inloggen. De website werkt wel goed een werkende app zou toch ook zo fijn zijn.

Goede app, alleen cancellation policy onduidelijk
De app werkt top. Enige onhandige is dat er soms 3 verschillende cancellation policies bij een hostel staan.
Zou top zijn als je een melding zou kunnen krijgen als je annuleringstermijn verloopt. Verder niks aan te melden!

No service whatsoever
I’ve made probably hundreds of reservations through Hostelworld.com without any problems. Today that changed. The hostel had a room that I booked that turned out not to be available. They say they had canceled with Hostelworld, but I wasn’t notified by them nor was I able to contact them easily at 1am. Bad service. I would have been able to call booking.com if I had booked through them.

Basisfuncties missen
Het gemis van een functie om je wachtwoord te wijzigen. De procedure is om je account te verwijderen en dan een samenvoegingsprocedure te doorlopen. Dat kan waarschijnlijk niet buiten kantooruren. Daarom proberen uit te loggen in de app maar die functie zit er niet in. Dus heb de hele app moeten verwijderen en daarna overnieuw moeten installeren, nieuw account aanmaken en overnieuw de hostels zoeken om vandaag nog de boeking te kunnen maken.
Wel veel en duidelijke info over hostels.

Fine app but fix the price slider!
Some places have a ridiculous price, like $3000/night for some reason. And this screws up the slider in the search interface. It gets almost impossible to set the max with any detail, it jumps around in big steps instead.

De app werkt zoals het hoort. Wel zag ik dat ik met creditcard moet betalen. Kan me voorstellen dat iDeal soms handiger is voor sommige. Maar de app zelf is erg goed en handig is gebruik.

Bad deals
The casa particulara (bed and breakfast) in Cuba cost 30 euro a night. Hostelsword adds 10 euro so 1/4 of the som you pay is for them. What do they do? Just show the casa at a map, and you van find the casa easily yourself at the internet.

Gebruiken bij hoge nood
Bij deze app krijg je weinig informatie over de faciliteiten in de hostels en is het niet erg overzichtelijk, waar dit bij andere apps wel zo is. Ook moet je bij het boeken al de prijs van 1 nacht vooruit betalen, waar dit weer bij andere apps ook niet hoeft. Ter nood een prima app om te gebruiken, anders gebruik ik veel liever bijvoorbeeld booking.com.

Decent app, just misses PDF export & offline data
The app has been reliable and fast to make bookings, which helps a lot when you only have a smartphone.
I very much miss an offline mode (when there is no wifi on my train or transport) and it is challenging to print a booking to have a hardcopy backup on me when my phone dies. If PDF can be emailed that would be great, preferably immediately both in my own language as well as the local language/characters, to show people when asking for directions.
Finally, I would suggest you enforce print facility directly from the app in every hostel you list, so you raise the servicelevel. Printing in hostels is always a hassle.

Improvement
Big thing missing is that if you searh for one place, you don't see hostels in places nearby. This makes you miss out on hostel opportunities. For example: if you type in "semuc champey" you only find two results. But Semuc Champey is very close to Lanquin. Why not show the hostels in Lanquin as well when searching for Semuc Champey?

Prima app; meer info zou handig zijn
Ik reis per auto. Als je zoekt op parkeerplek dan zie je dat deze er is maar niet wat dit kost; dat zou van meerwaarde zijn.
Ook een telefoonnummer van het hostel vooraf bij het boeken zou fijn zijn.

Awful bugs
When you’ve selected a date and try to order a booking, the date jumps back. Ive had to cancel a booking (and lose the money I paid + cancelation fee) due to this bug on multiple occasions.

Reizen met kinderen
Met de app is het makkelijk om een hostel te zoeken en te boeken.
Het zou nog handiger zijn wanneer er nog een filter is waarbij je gelijk ziet of je kinderen kunt verblijven in het hostel.

Kan beter
Ik zoek regelmatig op de app naar tweepersoons kamers, alleen in de resultaten staan altijd de prijzen voor de goedkope dorms of 1 persoonskamers genoemd. Ik moet dus altijd doorklikken en zie nooit in 1 oogopslag wat een 2-persoons kamer kost!
In dit geval doe ik liever een boeking op Booking.com wat makkelijker en sneller zoekt.
Deze app vooral handig als je alleen reist en graag in dorms slaapt. Als je iets speciaals hebt kost het te veel moeite.

Zoals de titel al zegt, een boeking is super snel gemaakt. Het enige minpuntje is dat je altijd even voor doorklikken voor de prijs, deze klopt niet altijd, maar verder werkt het geweldig en het is ook nog eens veilig!

Bad update
After the last update the app doesn't work anymore. I can select the dates and when I press 'done' nothing happens. It's a pity. I used this app almost everyday. Now I'll have a look for another app.

Just not there yet
Very annoying that you have to keep signing into and re enter your destination and info for the app to work. If I close the app to look at something on another website and come back 2 minutes later I will have to re-enter all my info again an log in again.
The app could become something really great, it's just not there yet. At all.

Good start
Booking a hostel is really easy with this app if you have an account with your creditcard. However if you want to look up your reservations, it only shows you the address, no link to a map, no way to copy paste it and no directions. The app also constantly forgets my login, so I need to enter my password all the time and can't access my booking information offline.

It has the potential te be a great app. My main problem was while backpacking in Thailand, that always there were better and cheaper places to stay than what was to find on this app

Average app
It's a average app because if you are looking for a hostel you can fill in how many nights and with how many persons you will like too stay!You will see a giant list of hostels but the most of them are not available in the time you chose :S maybe in the new update????
Omg!!after 6 month's i installed the app again and i can't make a reservation for a couple of days.The app will close by himself :( less then 1* it's useless

Nice but...
Nice and handy application, only it's pretty annoying it only accepts searches for at least three days in advance. The regular website also accepts same day reservations. In addition I don't see an option to log in which means I have to fill out all my details everytime I make a reservation.
