You guys are so big in this kind of area. Can you add a “movieplay button” on every movie information page? The difficulties are maybe the licenties, but you guys can make this work or what… this extra feature could bring you guys levels higher :-) in this sigment of bringing movie information to your dear respected followers.

Used to be good!

Just like the Internet Movie Database itself, the app used to be useful and usable. Unfortunately ad-rot has struck imdb even worse than other Internet institutions. Thanks Bezos, way to go! 😢

Likes are not being saved

Love the app. My only problem is that, though I have an account, I can’t mark reviews as useful or not useful. When I close the app and go back to the movie, my marks are gone.

If there’s a help menu in the app itself, it’s very hard to find..

App crashes at startup (fixed)

I love the app! Pages could take quite some time to load a while back but it got better the last year! But as the title says, somehow the app won’t open anymore on my phone. After 2 seconds it force quits…

Edit: the app opens again. Restarting phone didn’t help. Maybe a server side problem?

Ratings are gone

The ratings are gone from the main page of the movies. It just says the amount of ratings now.

Also, since a few updates back getting to search in the first place requires an extra tap. The app’s design might be getting prettier but the usability is going backwards rapidly.

Look at the privacy labels!!! I’m so glad Apple put these into place since iOS 14.3!! It is just so wrong, letting apps like IMDb harvest your data! ‘Pressing: delete’ and gone is the app!!! (Thanks Apple)

Stop translating English movie titles to Dutch

Never ever use translated movie titles in The Netherlands. Please fix this immediately. Even for non-American or non-English films we usually use the original title and on some occasions an English translation of the title. We never use movie titles that are translated to Dutch in The Netherlands. Only dubbed versions of movies for children such as those by Disney or DreamWorks get Dutch movie titles. However, we always get the original version both in cinemas and on all streaming services. The original version always bears the original, untranslated movie title. Do not translate movie titles such as ‘2001: A Space Odyssey’ to Dutch!

Great app, minor bug found

I’ve been using this app for years and I still absolutely love it. I lately started writing my own reviews for movies. While I was typing my review on the mobile app I changed between different apps to check for some information. The first 10 or so times it didn’t cause any problems, but at some point it re-started the app which caused my almost finished review to disappear. Hopefully this can be fixed.

Waarom zoek/search eerst op balk onderin en bij invoer op balk bovenin? Net zo’n onzinnig en onnodig heen en weer gespring op het scherm als de google zoekbalk op het startscherm van google.

No shared history

Happy user for lots of years. Keeps track of the movies I watched through my watch list. But....

Logged on in the iPhone app, iPad app and MacBook (browser) does not share search history though all devises. It would be pleasant if I search for a movie on the iPhone I can see this movie title remembered in the search history of the iPad and the MacBook (browser login). Now I can only see the search history of the specific device. So in fact I have now three different search histories, depending on where I search the title for the first time.
