Ur My Type is an app that uses personality types to match compatible people. It can be used to make friends and/or as a dating app. We use our personality test, which is inspired by the 16 personalities test, to match people online in a more meaningful way.
We are turning the tables on the conventional friend finding and dating app model and adding what's actually needed: A way to be matched with people based on personality types.
This works in 3 simple steps:
1. You first take our personality test to find out your own personality type.
2. You then take our compatibility test to find out the personality type of your ideal match.
3. We show you potential matches who are compatible with you!
Our personality and compatibility tests are inspired by the 16 personalities test, which uses psychometric testing to classify people into 16 personality types as follows:
INFP - The Idealist
ENFP - The Inspirer
INTJ - The Strategist
ENTJ - The Commander
INFJ - The Mystic
ENFJ - The Protagonist
INTP - The Thinker
ENTP - The Visionary
ISFP - The Adventurer
ESFP - The Entertainer
ISTP - The Craftsman
ESTP - The Dynamo
ISTJ - The Inspector
ESTJ - The Executive
ISFJ - The Nurturer
ESFJ - The Guardian
The four letters in the 16 personality types above stand for the following:
E: Extrovert
I: Introvert
N: Intuitive
S: Sensing
T: Thinking
F: Feeling
P: Perceiving
J: Judging
The HR departments of more than 75% of Fortune 500 companies use a personality test that is in one way or another a variation of the 16 personalities test. At Ur My Type, we are pioneering the application of the 16 personalities in the context of a friend finding and dating app.
We have discovered that our app concept is quite appealing to introverted people. Currently, our data shows that 65% of our users are introverts. There might be more extroverts than introverts in society, but on our app the opposite is true! So, if you identify as an introvert, we believe that you will particularly enjoy our app and get to befriend and date like-minded people.
We are idealists, but we are also realists. We realize that looks have a role to play in a dating app, which is why profile pictures are shown on our users' profiles. However, we refuse to believe that looks are the most important factor in forming meaningful relationships of any kind. Our core philosophy is that personality is the foundation for dating, making friends, and any type of human connection.
We acknowledge that the personality types defined by the 16 personalities test are mental models and not absolute truths. However, based on the available scientific data, the immense popularity of this personality test, and our own subjective preference (in case you haven't realized already, we are big fans of it), we are convinced that it's the best tool currently available to achieve our mission of making dating and finding friends online more meaningful.
Although Ur My Type was initially launched purely as a dating app, it can nowadays also be used to make friends. In fact, our data shows that up to 50% of our users are on the app primarily to make friends. 65% of our users indicate that they are looking for both dating and friendship at the same time. Too much spam

The app has potential, but my experience was seriously hampered by excessive spam. Too many suspicious encounters asking me about my WhatsApp account made me decide to quit this app altogether. I know it is impossible to block all imposters, but having to deal with them every day is too much. Unfortunately, I cannot give this app a favorable rating due to this annoyance.

Amazing app with amazing app

This is really an amazing app with amazing people on it.
Simple but effective.
It just has some minor bugs but I think you guys will fix that in the future.
