Great, but grandparents have older ipads, and backthen isn’t compatibel with the older ipads? My grandmother has ios 9.3.5, cannot update any higher. I accessed through the browser version!

We trusted our pictures to an app. First and last time. Thanks for messing our date up in de original pic now all is the same date of downloading back.
Move to an other app only to find the storage is cut 10 fold and now having to pay monthly.
This is not how you keep your customers. Bye bye

Unfortunately my mother can’t join BackThen. It is not available on a desktop and her phone is too old.
She enjoyed following her grandchildren via Lifecake. Especially is these times it would be great to use BackThen...
Also Lifecake costs €36 unlimited, BackThen €54 for 2t. So more expensive and less capacity!!
It is all about the money, isn’t it?? 😢
Since the update you should be able to download video’s from iPhone. This doesn’t work!!
Also; I am still waiting to get my money back from lifecake. Such a shame! I used lifecake for more than 3 years, this is not a fair treatment!

Al sinds de geboorte van m’n zoontje gebruik ik de lifecake app, super fijne app, heel fijn voor oma’s en een mooie tijdlijn. En daar komt dan opeens een nieuwe app voor in de plaats waarvoor je 4,49 per maand voor mag gaan betalen...erg jammer. Ik stop er dan maar mee. Vermoedelijk gaan er meer klanten weg nu.

Why not introducing a smaller package eg. 50GB for 0,99€ (same as Apple storage).

Very disappointed in this “fantastic new service”. Nothing has changed or improved but the icon and the price which is twice as much expansive that Lifecake was. Very sneaky way to fool loyal customers.

Ik gebruikte al jaren voor 34 euro per jaar de lifecake app waarmee ik onbeperkt kon uploaden. Nu wordt aangekondigd dat lifecake ermee stopt en je over kan gaan op backthen voor €4,50 pm met “maar” 200gb. De backthen app is exact hetzelfde en snap niet waarom ik zoveel meer moet gaan betalen...

Bit annoying to find out that you have to pay, if you want to store more than 1Gb -at the moment when you want to import your pictures. For storage I have my cloud. This was a fun app to have.

Vanaf het begin life cake gebruikt voor mijn kinderen en vind het echt een leuke manier om de foto’s van de kids in op te slaan. Maar op deze manier houd het voor mij op.
Laat de nieuwe abonnees betalen en bied oude abonnees een goed alternatief.
Altijd goede reviews gegeven aan vrienden en gezegd dat ze dit moeten gebruiken. Beetje jammer.

The 1 gb free storage is a joke, if you have been using the app for some months you will easily go over it. So you end up being forced to pay and a 60 day notice, or else its byebye photos, videos and last but not least the personal comments.
I would have liked to see a longer notice, a free copy to BackThen and some free months to start with. After that you should choose between paying or stopping. I also would have liked a yearly contract with a huge discount.
I hope that everyone that just started a contract in Lifecake or just paid for the next year will be offered a fitting solution.
I understand you need money to drive your business but the lack of honest communication is a big ‘disappointment’ towards your community.

I use life cake for more than 2 years today we are not allowed to add pictures
You are allowed to share the pictures one by one
And the only way to keep the pictures is to pay 6 euro a month
It feels like we are being robbed specially in this time I don’t have any good things to say about this only that no way if this stays this way I will ever buy a canon product again
This is verry good publicity for the brand if you treat your customers this way. Even the features make a album are gone

Ik heb een levenslang account met ongelimiteerd opslag mogelijkheid op Lifecake en kan nu van de een op de andere dag niets meer uploaden. Vandaag zag ik dat deze app het alternatief is, want Lifecake stopt. Nu moet ik van de nieuwe makers opnieuw betalen. Super jammer want onze ouders kunnen hun kleinkinderen niet zien in Coronatijd en was Lifecake een fijne manier om toch op de hoogte te blijven. Ik ben niet beroerd om te betalen, maar vind het niet netjes om het opnieuw te doen terwijl het jaarabonnement van Lifecake nog maar net is afgeschreven. Ik hoop op een snelle oplossing voor de oude abonnees.
