Not great

Okay so it takes it very slow and shows the basics of a language, but after you learn like just the coding style and names, you have to pay to continue. So if you already know about coding it only learns variables in that language and print-line and stuff. For beginners its fine, but it’s not enough to really learn how to code.

Mino Python

Just started on the first few chapters. I like the way they keep things simple and small for me. Might take longer, but it keeps me interested so far. I do think the scoreboard is fake, just to stimulate me. I have never been a first at anything 😀

Awful app

Initially when I downloaded this app, it was *alright*. I got tired of being locked in the small amount of features in the free tier, so I bought pro and it was much better, and it did teach me of the fundamentals of webdev, but later on they added max, and closed the forum so that this scummy company can milk our wallets even more, wouldn't recommend. Use w3schools for fundamentals/basics and built your own X to learn more.

Cool but expensive

I really like the concept of the Mimo app – it’s a cool and engaging way to learn coding, especially since you can do it quickly and easily on your phone. However, to really make the most of the app, you quickly find out that you need a Pro subscription. I went ahead and purchased that, only to discover in the second section of my course that I now need yet another license to run a desktop project.
This feels a bit misleading, especially since in the first section, running a “bot project” was still considered free. While the overall idea is great and the app is definitely well-designed, in the end, there are cheaper alternatives out there that are just as effective for learning to code.

When you sign up for the free trail you don’t get a free trial.
You have to pay right away.
I don’t mind paying but like to heve a choice pay per month or year.
Here you can only pay for a year.
That means you lost your money if you quit before the year is up.
The don’t off money back so they win and you lose a fortune.

Great app

Seriously great for learning how to code from scratch! I was following roadmaps and free online lessons (FCC) which I will keep doing, but I really like the amount of practice in this app. It’s not just all theory. When my free trial is over, I don’t think I’ll have any issues paying for a monthly subscription. It’s really good.

Hearts

It’s a very good site to learn coding but my only struggle is that I loose hearts really fast and I can’t continue learning so maybe you should add a mode where you can’t loose hearts but don’t earn energy.

Disable swipe to next assignment

Hi, is there any way to disable the swipe? Every time i finished an assigment and want to view the broad table result from left to right (and vice versa), it moves to a new or previous assignment. Very annoying since i cant view the results.

Wouldn’t recommend

I love programming but it’s so annoying that you will charge us to not have to wait 4 HOURS, to continue. Please add a option for students to get it for free or something, you’re making your app useless for free users.
Also, just now I’ve lost my 2 week streak because my daily lesson for some reason didn’t register and I can’t buy a streak repair. Thanks mimo 👍

Connection problem

I tried to go pro since I got stuck on the coding challenge. When I hit on the button to go pro, all I received is “Please make sure you’re connected to the internet” and I am perfectly sure my network works fine. I login my account with another iPhone and the same problem happen.

Good app with language problem

I downloaded the app today. It automatically started in German. I am trying to learn German with Duolingo, but I am far from fluent. Therefore I tried to switch the language to English. Most of the exercises are in English now, but most of the other parts of the app are still in German. (And the ads are in Dutch)
The exercises are good though.
