Lean helps you save space on your iPhone by cleaning up your unwanted Live Photos, making them normal photos (or Feature Photos as @siracusa put it).
Think of landscape photos, which most of the time are with very little movement. Even if you go to Photos app and mark it as non-Live Photo, it doesn't really remove anything (you can revert back anytime). That fills up your precious space, especially for those of your who are on 16GB iPhone. So Lean is a really simple that does exactly that, remove the "Live" part out of Live Photos.
Lean is extremely simple, it takes your unwanted Live Photo and chunk out a normal one, then delete the Live Photo. Lean also comes some cool features:
- Lean saves your normal photo with exact same metadata (EXIF, GPS, Creation Date) as your Live Photo.
- Lean is defensive. We really care for users' data and we spent a great deal of time to make sure Lean never removes a Live Photo without making a copy.

I purchased this app because it claimed to have the ability to bulk convert Live Photo’s to regular stills.
This occasionally works however not in bulk to a maximum of 6 photos at a time but soon after reports “an error has occurred“ and you have to manually covert photos one by one.
A tedious task if you have close to 10.000 Live Photos and are trying to make space on your iPhone.

Keeps giving errors, managed to permanently delete a bunch of my pics in the process. Problems have been around for years but the devs refuse to fix anything. Stay away!

Misschien kan Apple deze app beter verwijderen. Hij geeft steeds foutmeldingen en verwijdert vervolgens de live foto maar ook de foto die hij zou moeten maken is nergens te vinden. Stom, had de reviews moeten lezen maar iculture had deze app aangeraden dus had er verder niet naar gekeken.

Loopt steeds vast met melding te kort opslagruimte > 30gb lijkt me voldoende toch ? Er verdwijnen zelfs foto’s en alles komt door elkaar te staan ! Koop dit niet zonde van je geld en foto’s. ! Koop niet koop niet koop niet !!!

Voor alle mensen die een error krijgen over te weinig ruimte: geef het clean up commando niet bij het foto-overzicht met de vinkjes, maar tik eerst op de foto zelf om die te activeren en doe dan pas de clean up.
De Photo app van Apple biedt ook de mogelijkheid om het live-element eruit te gooien, maar die kan weer niet sorteren op live foto's.
