From start to end, it’s clear that Prince was so prolific that he knew he wouldn’t be able to release it under his own name.

The urge to share his music oozed through every major artist that was open to his music(style). Or artists that Prince created or introduced to a broader audience.

Make-Up was in Applolonia’s version, a stand out in the new wave flavor that prince displayed in this song.

Now with his own vocals the songs becomes ever more edgy. It’s a simple but sometimes disturbing song with heavy synths and a rhythmic spoken voice. Again something that Prince incorporates into his music with effortless ease.

Holly Rock becomes a funk opera towards the end. And Noon Rendezvous becomes a whole new different song when Prince has his take at the song. No drums in this version so it’s eerie and beautifully sung.

Wouldn’t you love to Love me, leaves a happy, innocent yet confident trace of light funk and poppy instruments.

These were my personal highlights, but none of the songs is uninteresting. Even You’re my Love, that was given to Kenny Rogers , explores a musical direction we hadn't heard before.
